Maritime Documentation Center…. Beware!!!

Beware!!!! if you get a letter from Maritime Documentation Center for your documentation renewal. The terrible company is still out there. This company “Maritime Documentation Center” is not in any way affiliated with US Coast Guard site, they are a private business designed to trick you out of your money through your ignorance of the fact that they charge much more to renew your vessel documentation than the real Coast Guard Documentation Center.

I just got this in the mail a few days ago. Last year I was taken by this but only once only, so I am warning you again!. If you get this in the mail just wait a couple months and you will get the official renewal in the mail from the Coast Guard Documentation office and Falling Waters West Virginia.

Save you money ! Don’t fall for this!

Their business model seems to be they send you your documentation renewal before the Coast Guard sends the real renewal application to you hoping you would be foolish to send them your money. They will renew your documentation but at cost substantially higher (many times higher) than you would pay directly to the Coast Guard.
